In the heart of the captivating rolling fields, dwelt a boy named Shepherd. His life was essentially unadulterated, simple, and honest. His main role was essentially to tend to his flock of ewes.
Their gentle baas and the murmuring of the gales among the lone tree on the hilltop were his constant companions. Day after day, watching over his charges inculcated in him a feeling of tranquil contentment.

One morning he dashed into the village screaming “Wolf! There is a wolf that has taken my sheep!” The scared villagers sprinted up the website hills to help but saw nothing threatening.
The boy giggled at the confusion on their faces. This trick laughed for a few days more. But, one day, a real wolf actually charge at the herd. The shepherd boy dashed for aid shouting “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one responded.
Frustrated and alone, the boy struggled against the wolf but managed to rescue only few of his flock. Devastated, he returned to the village only to be met with a reprimand on honesty and the consequences of false alarms.
The story of this shepherd boy has been handed down generations as a mediaeval parable to teaching the importance of honesty, the implications of dishonesty and the risks of crying wolf. Moreover, it highlights how trust once violated, is tough to regain. It's a story as appropriate today as it was then.
